This is are page just for Mares! Most of these girls have been rescued from slaughter. A couple lucky few we bought from people but still needed are help as they would have ended up on their way to slaughter as they have some minor problems that some peolpe might not want to deal with for the rest of the horses life's.
Some of these mares were rescued in foal and some so heavy in foal they had there foal only weeks after ariving here. They are all halter broke but some do have trust issues and will aways have a home here untill they can be rehomed if that day never comes they will just be here forever!
My heart goes out to these special mare's. Some of them know nothing other then to be a broodmare it's not their fault no one ever broke them but once there so old it's not easy to teach them to except a rider. All we try to do it teach them to except humans in their life and that we won't hurt them or their foals.
